Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Cancelling your membership

You can cancel at any time, with no cancellation fee and no notice period. Cancel from your account settings, or email [email protected] and we will do it for you.

Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your membership stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep full access until then. We do not pro-rate the remainder of a period you have started, except in the cases below.

2. Try before you pay

Every account starts with a free trial — 3 days or 15 messages, whichever runs out first — with no payment method required. The trial exists so you can judge whether Alethic is right for you before any money changes hands. We encourage you to use it.

3. 14-day right to withdraw

If you are a consumer in the UK or the European Economic Area, you have a statutory right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of it being made, and to receive a full refund.

Because Alethic is digital content supplied immediately, you are asked at checkout to agree that supply begins at once. Where you have used the service during that window, we may reduce the refund in proportion to what you have used — but in practice we refund in full if the service has barely been used.

4. Refunds outside the withdrawal period

Beyond the 14-day window, memberships are generally non-refundable, because you have had access to the service for the period you paid for. We will nonetheless refund, in whole or in part, where:

• you were charged in error, or charged twice for the same period;
• a renewal you had already cancelled was taken anyway;
• the service was substantially unavailable for a significant part of the period you paid for;
• you were charged after your account was closed by us.

If you were charged for a renewal you did not intend and have not used the service since, tell us within 14 days of the charge and we will refund it. We would rather do that than keep money from someone who did not mean to spend it.

5. How to request a refund

Email [email protected] from the address on your account, with the date and amount of the charge. You can also raise it directly with Paddle at paddle.net, the buyer support site for every Paddle.com Market Ltd transaction.

We aim to answer within two business days. Approved refunds are made to the original payment method and, once approved, are processed within 14 days — how quickly the money appears then depends on your bank or card issuer.

6. Price and tax

The Alethic Membership is $49 per month excluding sales tax and VAT, which is added at checkout based on your location. A refund returns the tax you paid along with the price. The full amount charged is always shown before you confirm payment.
